A CORPOREAL CARTOGRAPHY OF NON-PLACE & NON-TIME
Building off the concept of radical non-linearity, I situated it in the contexts of place and time, which naturally led me to the artifact of the "map." I was drawn to Marc Augé's characterization of "non-place" as non-relational interstitial spaces of transportation which permeate contemporary worldviews. From this, I drew the ideas of "non-time" and the "non-map" (or "non-linear map," or a map of salient destinations (place/time) with all the in-between spaces (non-place/time) excised). Then, in my final prototypes, I mapped these points to the body.
