I was commissioned by Studios & Facilities at OCAD U to design and fabricate a series of coat hooks for open use. The design is quick to make and takes advantage of both ends of the material to provide two limbs for hanging. The underhand limb is conventional, while the overhand limb mimics the human head and is thus especially suited for hoods. Through the forging process, a rough texture forms on the surface of the steel which helps prevent slippage. Every hook comes out unique. OCAD U, January-February 2018.
